So I'm looking to try and contact my spirit guide. I know he/she/it is there, since there have been times when I felt protected even in the darkest of times. I just want to be able to call them, and have them here with me.
Also, I've noticed that birds are always around me. Be it during winter, spring, summer, whatever, I'm always followed by a bird. Normally that doesn't sound crazy, but how many times should you see crows, and sometimes ravens during winter?
So, any help on calling my spirit guide, or binding him/her to a material body would be incredibly wonderful.

Out of curiosity, is it birds in general, or a specific kind of bird? Either way, here's what I'd do.
Personally, I would talk to the spirit before attempting to bind it to anything. I have a guardian spirit bound to a ring, but he sort of did that on his own without me asking him to. Trying to bind something that doesn't want to be bound never really ends well. After calling on it and having a conversation with it, it might be beneficial to bind it to something, depending on the kind of guide it is. Now, on to how to summon/call on it.
I'd find a space where you won't be disturbed for a while, somewhere quiet. Begin to relax your body and mind, and slowly clear your mind of all thoughts. Get into a deep, relaxed, meditative state and let your mind go completely blank. Then, call out to the spirit in your mind. Invite it in, ask for it to appear before you. Thank it for what it's done for you in the past, and petition it to come so you can speak with it. Hopefully, it should reveal itself to you. If not, it might not want to reveal itself. Hope this helps

It sound pretty curious.
Maybe the birds really likes you.
I have an aunt that one day start to sing at a bird, then make it daily, (I think was the same bird) and that bird always came to the same tree, and even peck the window looking for my aunt to talk to it. This happend the entire summer.
In the spring, the bird returns with its partner, (because there were two this time), and came for the season until the fall comes.
The birds return almost all the years and peck to my window looking for someone to talk to them, and considering that some kind of birds dont live to much year, these have to be its sons, o grandsons... I really dont know why they come to the tree, she never gives anything to eat, just talk and sing to them.
