Well I want to share one thing about a friend. He was highly skeptic but also a highly intuitive person. When I tried to make psiballs near him to prove a point I couldn´t do it. It was so extrange. Also when he enters a room all energy, all those possibilities "collapse" to an static state, I have to make a lot of effort to change the environment and when he was on bad mood it all feels so depressive, so horrible (others also feel the same but don´t say it).
I think a lot of skeptics or are insensible to the "magick" and "energy" others were hypersensibles and so they close thenselves to all that and with the belief they hold they change the ambient ot confirm (without them notice it) their beliefs of the not existence of all that. It can explain when an skeptic like Richard Wiseman on psi almost always fails ("experimenter effect").
What do you think about it?

Maybe an outside force (spirits?) were influencing him/his mood?

I personally believe a lot of skeptics are sensitive to the paranormal, flow of energy/magic, and various other things. My father as well as my grandparents (on both sides) are(were) very intuitive people. They'd often pick up on things before anyone else, especially my mother's mom yet would always denounce it as anything more then a coincidence. The only acknowledgement she will offer to anything even slightly paranormal is the "Spirit of God doing His work".

I don´t think so, because when his mood change also does the ambient. I think he uncosciously does it.
Yeah I know what you feel, my family is also sensible AND christian and all is from "demons" or from "God"...

Honestly, I find the concept amusing, the idea that someone who doubts magic can null it simply by being present... Such an innate "talent" might have it's uses.
Maybe it's kinda like a form of grounding. From what I've read, a mage grounds himself after rituals to help keep himself sane (instead of having his magical mindset seeping into daily life.) Well, what if some people are so grounded that it outright negates magical attempts (pretty much working in reverse).
Of course, I could be completely mis-understanding the concept of grounding. It wouldn't be the first time.

I have found in my experience that if someone has strong enough doubt and disbelief they become a walking null spell. Meaning they can drive away entities (typically low end ones) and nullify almost all mystical endeavors. The funny part is someone who doubts and nulls things, when they start to believe in mystical things they usually have large amount of reserve energy. I think that they have that energy even when they are doubting, BUT are unconsciously tapping into that energy and emitting in a nullification manner of some kind.
